The Climate Smart Communities exhibit at the fair is a feast of information about ways you can adapt to a changing environment and help reduce greenhouse gasses.

Meet our vendors and learn more about energy-efficient ways to save money heating your home, what Climate Smart Communities are doing in Ulster County, what a carbon footprint is, and how easy it is to reduce everyday greenhouse gasses and your own carbon footprint. If you're thinking about volunteering, this is a great opportunity to check out task force activities.

Complete a simple crossword puzzle and every member of the family can enter the raffle and score a free gift while supplies last - Seed packets from Lowe's, ice scream scoop from Stewarts, or a reusable bag from UCRRA.

There's a free eco-friendly Crafts station for kids - Make an Origami Woodpecker and see how climate change affects the Red-headed Woodpecker. There are Wikki Stix for younger kids to play with, too.

The Hurley Climate Smart Task Force made a significant contribution to this exhibit. If you are visiting on Saturday from 10-2 come and say hello to task force member Kristen Schara, or to Lynne Bailey if you're there after 6.
