The task force is delighted to 1) publish the ClimateSmartHurley.org website; and 2) Affirm its partnership with the county's Solarize Ulster Campaign.
The task force has been busy since the last meeting coordinating these efforts. CSH developed and submitted a plan for the campaign which was approved on June 10th. making us eligible to apply for grant money that can be used for task force projects. Postcards were mailed to residents, and you may see some flyers around town encouraging you to subscribe
as a community solar user. Our goal is to sign up 2% of Hurley's electricity customers. All residents and business owners who pay an electric bill can subscribe.
With community solar, subscribers guarantee a market for solar energy helping to lower greenhouse emissions. The solar farms are located in the area, and provide career opportunities as well. Participating residents and businesses will see solar credits offsetting their electric bills. It takes 5 - 10 minutes to subscribe. Read more about it on our website and Call a provider to sign-up. You will need an email address and your Central Hudson account number.
